1. ACNE
Acne is characterized by swollen, red and irritated blemishes, and is most commonly found in areas where dead skin cells and oil can build up, such as the face, neck, back, and chest. There are several causes of acne such as: hormones, diet, stress and bacteria. 2. AGE SPOTS
The term “age spots” is often used to describe any skin discolorations that appear with age such as brown spots and damage from the sun. 3. AGING SKIN
As you age, your body slows its natural production of collagen, which causes your skin to gradually wrinkle and sag. There are foods that stimulate the production of collagen, as well as anti-aging products that help to prevent your skin from showing the signs of aging. 4. BURNS
Burns can be caused by fire, the sun, chemicals, electricity and basically anything heated. They damage the skin tissue, and can cause various degrees of pain, blistering, swelling, etc. Depending on how deep the damage is to the tissue, burns are classified as First, Second or Third degree. Milder burns are much easier to treat, and can be treated at home using a moisturizer to keep the skin from peeling. For more severe burns, medical treatment is necessary, and it is recommended that you consult a medical professional.

5. CRACKED HEELS

7. ECZEMA / DERMATITIS
Atopic Dermatitis, or Eczema, is an inherited skin condition which often begins in early infancy. Typically, this disease has periods when the skin is almost entirely normal and periods when the condition is more active. Individuals with a family history of asthma, hay fever, or dry skin seem to be more likely to develop this non-contagious form of dermatitis. When eczema is active, the condition causes itching, erythema (redness), inflammation, fine scaliness, irritated papules and crusty erosions. 8. DIABETIC DERMOPATHY
Diabetic Dermopathy is a skin condition that commonly affects individuals with diabetes. 9. DRY SKIN
Skin that is lacking moisture can become dry, flaky, chapped, tight and itchy. Dry skin can be due to hormonal changes, environmental conditions, nutritional problems or harsh products. Older clients, who produce less protective sebum on the skin, and young children, who don’t yet have that active oil gland function, are often troubled by dry skin conditions. Itching (puritus) is the most frequent skin symptom. 10. HYPERPIGMENTATION
Hyperpigmentation is a common condition in which some patches of skin turn darker in color. It is caused when there is too much brown pigment, called “melanin”, in the skin. 11. KERATOSIS
Keratosis is a very common skin condition that results in rough patches of small, acne-like bumps forming on the back of the arms, legs and buttocks. These small bumps are usually white or red in color, and do not hurt or itch. Keratosis is genetic and usually develops within the first 10 years of life. The main treatment for keratosis is exfoliation and moisturization.

12. MELASMA
Melasma is a fairly common pigment disorder where brown patches appear on the skin due to hormones or excessive sun exposure. 13. OILY / SHINY SKIN
Oily skin traditionally is shiny and thick with large pores, and heredity, diet, hormones, pregnancy, cosmetics and weather, are all causes. When caring for oily skin, avoid harsh products that strip your skin of oil and encourage flakiness, as they can cause a reaction known as reactive seborrhoea, where the oil glands work overtime to compensate for the loss of natural oils. 14. BLEMISHES / PIMPLES
Blemishes (pimples) form when there is a buildup of dead skin cells, and blockage in the pores. This condition results in red, pustule sores forming on areas of the body, such as the face, neck, back and chest. Blemishes can occur due to diet, hormones, bacteria or heredity. 16. PSORIASIS
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease where the skin cells (epidermis) shed about 7 times faster than the usual 28 day cycle. These skin cells are immature, sticky, and resist shedding, unlike those of unaffected people. Producing more skin means the blood vessels to the area are in greater quantity and jammed full of blood. 19. RAZOR BURN

20. ROSACEA
Rosacea almost always occurs between the ages of 30 and 60, and it is identified at first by occasional flushing on the face (nose, cheeks, forehead and sometimes chin) and can sometimes be found on the neck as well. With time, the flushing becomes less episodic and more chronic, accompanied by papules and pustules. Since Rosacea may be affected by vascular changes, vascular triggers such as hot drinks, exercise, alcohol and spicy foods may cause the redness to flare up. 22. STRETCH MARKS
Stretch marks occur when the dermis tears and forms scarring on the skin with an off-color hue. They generally develop due to rapid growth (puberty) or weight gain. 23. SUN DAMAGE
The degree of sun damage depends on how much sun exposure an individual has had, how their skin responds to the sun, and if they have protected their skin from the sun. 24. SUNBURN
A sunburn results from too much exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays. Sunburns cause damage to the skin, and generally result in redness and mild pain. There can be different degrees of sunburns, as some are mild and can be easily treated. Mild sunburns usually only affect the top layer of the skin. Other sunburns can be very harsh and painful, and result in blisters on the skin, which cause damage to the deeper layers of the skin. Mild sunburns can be easily treatable by first cooling off the skin, and then ensuring that you take care of the skin by moisturizing and protecting it. Harsher sunburns may be taken care of the same way; however, if they are severe, we recommend seeking medical assistance.

25. VITILIGO
Vitiligo is a rare disorder that causes depigmentation of patches of skin, mostly on the extremities. It occurs when melanocytes die or are unable to function. The cause is unknown but it may arise from autoimmune, genetic, or viral causes. There is no cure for vitiligo, but sun protection is needed to prevent sunburn. Lightening treatments are also used to even out the discoloration.
